Llandudno Weekend 2017

Another fun filled weekend with a great crowd and many first timers, who I hope will not make it their last!  Jan and Richard once again traveled from the south to join us which was great, sorry that the Witham's had to be absent, hopefully they will join us again next time.

Friday night was Gill's party night and as always we did just that!  Great fun, good music and a wonderful 'family' atmosphere.

Pics of Friday night can be downloaded as a pdf here, or a slideshow viewed here.

I'm pleased to say that although Santa invaded my ballroom once again on Saturday morning he was fairly quiet this year! Class proved to be interesting with a lesson based on Tango and it's history and how it evolved from Argentine, to Apache to Ballroom Tango via Paris and the rest of Europe.  An interesting experience for most and everyone handled it very well.

The weather was reasonable allowing us to get out and about and there were fireworks this year, which although I didn't get to see them personally, I believe they were good.  Not so the Laser light show which followed.

Une Soiree a Paris was accompanied by some wonderful costumes - thank you to all for effort and creativity!  We also enjoyed an evening trip on Les Bateaux-Mouches throughout the evening in the City of Lights, as well as a cabaret from the Lido and Moulin Rouge - with not one, but two can-can performances which were impressive.

Our music quiz showed some surprising knowledge of French singers - well done!

Pictures of all our Parisienne Characters can be found here in pdf format to download, or the slideshow can be viewed here.

The Club is blessed with delightful people, who are great sports and full of fun.  Thank you all for making this weekend so successful!   So what's in store for 2018??!! ....
